Jesse 2.0 Playlist  by Annabelle Jay

Like a lot of authors, I listen to music while I write. Each book has a different playlist of songs that fit the mood of the book, and I listen to them over and over again. For my latest novel, Jesse 2.0, there were eighteen songs that I listened to over and over again while writing the story of what happens when a dead person can be cloned and brought back to life. To make the situation more complicated, Jesse’s boyfriend, Maddy, has moved on. If you want to listen to the songs, you can find a YouTube playlist here.

“Could It Be Another Change” – The Samples

“There Is A Light That Never Goes Out” – The Smiths

“I Will Follow You Into the Dark” – Death Cab for Cutie

“Save Me” – Evanescence

“Lazy Eye” – Silver Sun Pickups

“Unsteady” – Ex Ambassadors

“Make You Better” – The Decembrists

“Radioactive” – Imagine Dragons

“Send Me On My Way” by Rusted Root

“Looking Out for Love” – Fleetwood Mac

“Stubborn Love” – The Lumineers

“River” - Bishop

“Way Down We Go” – Kaleo

“Slide” –  Goo Goo Dolls

“Crystals” – Of Monsters and Men

“All I Want” – Kodaline

“Lydia” – Highly Suspect

“I Just Don’t Think I’ll Ever Get Over You” – Colin Hay

P.S. One of these songs is actually mentioned in Jesse 2.0—guess which one it is!
