Imani J. Walton is a committed tea drinker who finds her inspiration from the world around her and her experiences. Having moved a lot in her childhood, Imani became familiar with the feeling of being the new kid and jumped at the chance to be somewhere new. She and her family have now settled down in Austin, Texas.
She self-published her first novel at fifteen years old with the encouragement of her family and school writing club that she is currently the president of. Imani has been writing for as long as she can remember but didn’t take writing seriously until eighth grade. Her favorite genre to write is realistic fiction, but as she matures she had been exploring other genres. Imani wouldn’t be where she is today without her mom, her sisters, Monét and Adjanae, and all of the wonderful individuals in her writing club. Without them she would never have realized her potential and she is eternally grateful for their support, love, and encouragement.
Imani’s hobbies include writing, reading, audio/video production, talking excessively, breathing, and hunting for readers and feedback. To read more of Imani’s material, give feedback, or just to discuss teas, feel free to contact her.
